THE SOLE FOCUS OF WINFORCE TRAINING ACADEMY IS TO GET PEOPLE WORKING
This is done with a unique intervention, by offering short, industry recognized, respected and valued courses to unemployed candidates eager to work.
QUICK
WTA has chosen the path of non-accreditation with a SETA, because it is less cumbersome and leads to gainful employment faster. The short courses are a quick solution to kick-start a working career. Successful candidates find themselves in a better position to move on to greater challenges, such as more formal and accredited Skills Programs or Learnerships.
While the work of SETAs are commendable, the challenges facing the SETA processes are continuous, convoluted and extremely challenging for micro and smaller training providers who only offer basic, short training courses.
There are constant changes in SETA accreditation criteria, compounded by the SETAs not all having the same accreditation criteria. Statements of Results can take more than 8 weeks to process.
Workplaces for practical Experience are challenged by voluminous documentation to be completed, accompanied by the employment expectation SETAs have with regards to a Learnership.
LESS EXPENSIVE
Non-accredited training programs are far less expensive. It is a great way of learning a new skill-set, or building on a candidate’s existing proficiency. It is excellent for self-enrichment, career development and self-employment. It can be listed on a CV and leads to faster, often immediate employment opportunities, especially in high turnover industries.
WTA’s main focus is to facilitate gainful employment opportunities through its many willing training partners, who are saving thousands of rand per month on wage bills, due to having extra hands on board as workplace experience.
Employers also have the opportunity to source staff at no cost among these voluntary learners, who paid for their own training, thus investing in their future. It is a win-win situation for all three parties involved.
All students undergo an in-depth Peace-building and Life-skills workshop on the first day of training, which aims to adjust and mentally prepare the student for the Workplace. It further builds self-confidence and inner strength. These are critical elements in Attitude, which will either keep the student in work, or out of work.
The non-accredited route is less cumbersome and because the training courses are much shorter, it means a new skill can be gained in less than six months and certificates are issued instantly.
Furthermore: A non-accredited course focuses on equipping the student with a specific knowledge and skill-set, which has a value in the job market.
One can study a non-accredited course to enhance current or future career prospects, or for hobbyist purposes.
Furthermore, study material and assignments are not so complicated, there are no exams, it is a hands-on learning program and entrance and requirements are not as strict as those for accredited courses.

Who is a Doula / Pregnancy and Birth Companion?
Today, there are more families hiring doula’s than ever before. It is your time for a rewarding career, making a difference in the lives of new parents. A doula is a person who attends to the continued emotional support of a pregnant woman, up to and after the baby has been delivered. A doula acts in a supportive role to birth parents, resulting in a satisfying birth experience. Because doulas are familiar with the process of birth, they can mostly re-assure both parents about the normality of the experience during times when it might seem very intense.
